Eat Mexico offers small, private cooking classes for groups of anywhere from 1 to 8 people. These classes can also be combined with a market visit.
Usually the day works like this: we’ll shop for ingredients at a local market and then prepare lunch at Lesley’s house nearby. The cost depends on what we make, but the day generally lasts about six hours, including the market visit, cooking class and lunch.
The classes can also be taught by Ruth Alegria, a former chef and restaurant owner who’s taken classes with Diana Kennedy. This class is conducted in Ruth’s vibrant, sunny apartment in the Condesa neighborhood. Listen to Ruth talk about salsas and pipiánes and you’ll leave inspired.
In all cases, Lesley and Ruth will work with you to design a class that fits your needs! (That’s us in the photo above.) Email info@eatmexico.com for a detailed itinerary and sample menus.
