For anyone interested in Mexican food, a trip to a typical Mexico City market is a must. On this tour we’ll visit one of two Mexico City markets: the famous Mercado San Juan and the more working-class Arcos de Belém. We’ll visit the market’s fruit, vegetable, mole and dried chile stands, and meet some of the vendors. We’ll discuss some of the history of the flavors and ingredients, which reflect Mexico’s mix of Spanish and Meso-American influences. This tour also includes stops for street food in the nearby vicinity.
